Privacy
The short version: it's your Mac, your media, your keys.
The app
AI Video Editor runs entirely on your computer. Your projects, footage, and exports live on your disk. The app has no account system and sends no telemetry, analytics, or crash reports to us.
When you use AI features, the app talks directly to the provider you configured - your prompt text, project context, and (for vision features) individual frames go to that provider under your own API key and their privacy terms. Configure a local model (LM Studio, llama.cpp, vLLM, Ollama) and even that traffic never leaves your machine. Optional integrations you set up yourself - ComfyUI, web search, yt-dlp downloads - talk to the endpoints you point them at.
